BSc Business Studies Structure
The structure of some degree programmes enable students to gain an award at various levels during the course giving them the option to take a break due to personal circumstances and continue when time permits. The BSc Business Studies is divided into three stages each with its own qualification.
Stage 1 – Certificate in Higher Education (Business Studies)
Stage 2 – Diploma in Higher Education (Business Studies)
Stage 3 – BSc (Hon) Business Studies
Other degree programmes operate on a modular basis with a number of core modules in full and half units and options (after year 1) completed each year as follows:
Year 1 (Semester 1 and 2)
Four Core (compulsory) modules

BSc Business Studies Courses - Requirements
Entry qualifications will normally need to be equivalent to at least 260 UCAS points which is normally 3 A levels at grade BCC or alternative qualifications with equal or greater academic weight. Mature students without the formal entry requirements will also be considered and assessed on an individual basis.
BSc Business Studies Exams
Examinations for all modules are taken at the end of each academic year and range in length between 1.5 and 3 hours long depending on whether the module is a full or half unit. There are also continuous assignments which contribute to the overall results (30%).
