CIMA is the acronym for the largest professional association for Management Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. CIMA T4 Case Study (Part B) Examination

The T4 Part B case study exam is designed to assess candidate’s knowledge and skills within a simulated business environment concerning one or more business organisations. The case-study is designed to assess candidate’s grasp of concepts from the strategic level papers; E3, P3 and F3. There is no specific syllabus data for the T4 part B case study as it also covers subjects within the Management and Operational level papers.

CIMA Performance Strategy P3 Syllabus

The P3 Performance Strategy module concentrates on two main issues; the identification and management of the risks facing organisations. The management and control of financial and non-financial risks using management strategies such as financial instruments, and monitoring systems of internal control, are also covered within the P3 syllabus.

The P3 syllabus pays particular attention to ‘new’ sources of risk and closely examines the risks associated with governance, ethical and environmental issues.

CIMA Performance Operations (P1) Syllabus

The P1 syllabus is an operational level module that mainly deals with the evaluation and control of current and future organisational performance using a number of specialised tools and techniques. During the CIMA UK courses, you will learn to appreciate that budget construction involves forecasting key variables and recognising the uncertainties attached to future events. The main intention of the C01 Fundamentals of Accountancy syllabus is to give candidates an understanding of the basic techniques used for the identification and control of costs and cost management. The management accountant’s role within an organisation is closely examined as well as the role of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

CIMA Financial Strategy F3 Syllabus

The F3 syllabus covers the main elements necessary for the design and management of an organisations financial strategy. These elements are understood in terms of their ability to drive progress towards reaching organisational objectives whilst working within the regulatory and investment environment. Candidates develop an understanding of the main financing instruments and the different types of investment decision and the appreciation of broader strategic issues.

CIMA Financial Management (F2) Syllabus

The Financial Management syllabus continues the concepts, knowledge and skills developed in the Financial Operations (F1) module of the CIMA course to more advanced areas within financial accounting such as the preparation of full consolidated financial statements and developments in external reporting.
A substantial element of the financial management syllabus involves the analysis and interpretation of accounts.

Financial Operations Syllabus (F1)

The financial operations module is the last module from the operational level CIMA syllabus and after the successful completion of the F1 module candidates move up to the Management Level. Candidates develop the necessary skills to prepare a full financial statement for a single company. The consolidated financial statements for a simple group are also covered as well as examining a range of international standards.

CIMA UK Course - Enterprise Strategy E3 Syllabus

The Enterprise Strategy E3 course is the first sub-module of the Strategic Level CIMA courses and syllabus in the UK.

CIMA Enterprise Operations (E1) Syllabus - Full-time & Part-time Study

The CIMA E1 syllabus is the first of three modules in the Operational Level of the Professional qualification stage. The enterprise operations (E1) CIMA syllabus is designed to introduce candidates to the various functional areas of business as well as the economic, social and political aspects of international business. Students are also kept abreast of all major developments in the areas of information systems, marketing and managing human capital, and operations.

CIMA Enterprise Management (E2) Syllabus

The E2 syllabus is the first Management Level module from the CIMA study qualification and syllabus. This module moves away from the functional knowledge covered in the E1 Enterprise Operations module and on to a more integrated view of the whole organisation. It builds upon the main concepts in strategic management and develops key skills used to identify the main types of competitive environment.
